Overcoming a over a bad day
There are good days, like today, where I feel totally in sync with The Universe, where I feel like I’m exactly where I need to be. And then there are other days, like a few days ago, where I feel … less than great. Days where I focus on how much better I could be. Days where comparison bites me where it hurts. Days where I feel like a total and utter failure. What I’ve come to realize is that no matter what stage of “accomplishment” you may be at, whether you’re just starting your business, or whether you’ve been killin’ it in business for years – we all suffer sometimes. And it’s okay. I’m writing this today for those of you who beat yourselves up because you’re not where you thought you’d be, for those of you who suffer from major comparisonitis, for those of you who can’t seem to get into “the flow”. Feeling “in the flow” is accessible to us all, but you must accept that it is cyclical. Sometimes you’ll feel really stuck, paralyzed, out of it, not yourself – AND THAT’S OKAY. The important thing is to soothe yourself in those moments by showing yourself compassion. Here’s what helps me get over a bad day:
You, my friend, are on a journey, as am I. We were put here to make this world a *way* better place, and I’m pumped to do this together. Just remember, along the way, that things take time. Remember that a little bit of work every day goes a long way. Take steps towards your goal, no matter how small. And never give up. You are wonderful, and a gift to the world. Never forget it.
